Shield searches indexed text twice a week for your names and handles, then presents possible matches for your review. After you approve an eligible match, we send removal requests to covered platforms. Additional removal work on offshore sites is priced separately and approved by you.
Not sure whether you need removal or monitoring? Review removal scope
Shield discovers pages through indexed text containing your names and handles. It does not search by photo or read text inside screenshots and infographics. Photos without identifying text, private groups, and unindexed pages may be missed. Face verification checks images on pages already found.
You get the first leak removed. A week later, someone reposts. A month later, a mirror site. Two months later, another public post appears under your handle.
Your options today are exhausting: check the internet yourself every week, hire a takedown team every time, or stop checking and let content spread in the background.
Shield runs scheduled searches and brings possible matches to your dashboard. You choose which eligible links to pursue for removal.
Scheduled searches run while your subscription is active. Review each candidate before approving a removal request.
Twice-weekly monitoring (Monday and Thursday, UTC). We look for candidate results on supported sites and search indexes. Coverage depends on source availability.
Review each candidate and approve a removal request only if it depicts you and you are authorized to act. A match score is one signal; uncertain cases may require more evidence. You can dismiss an unrelated result.
After you approve an eligible match, we prepare the applicable removal request and handle follow-up on covered platforms. Your private dashboard distinguishes requests sent, responses received, and checked outcomes. A sent notice is not a confirmed removal.
Responses from offshore leak sites vary, and a direct removal request can succeed. Additional removal work on those sites is priced separately from the $29 Shield subscription ($99/site or bundle pricing). You review the scope and price before approving.
An ignored request does not end eligible removal work. We review the case, pursue applicable escalation routes, and record the next steps. Additional paid scope and any required authorization are explained before that work starts.
Shield handles approved removal requests for eligible links. StopNCII helps participating platforms detect matching intimate imagery under their policies. Both have coverage limits.
You can use both. StopNCII covers participating platforms; Shield helps you review newly discovered links and pursue eligible removal requests. Search-result removal and source deletion are tracked separately.
Your facial template is retained during your active case or subscription, then deleted within 24 hours of case closure or subscription cancellation. See our biometric policy for processing details and deletion requests.
Optional facial matching helps assess candidates found through name-and-handle searches. It is not a search of every face on the internet. Review consent and deletion options before enrolling.
Non-compliant offshore sites can require additional removal work. That is a separate paid add-on ($99/site, or bundle pricing), priced up front and approved by you, it is not bundled into the $29. Shield is a monitoring service, not a flat-rate takedown service.
